Experience

No two counties in Indiana have the potential for growth and development as do Clark and Floyd Counties. Yet our state General Assembly has become a partisan playground for some politicians and our Senate District has lost out in the process. I want to take the bi-partisan approach that has worked for my constituents for 18 years on the Jeffersonville City Council, and I want to use that experience to champion job growth in Southern Indiana as your next State Senator.

I have over 30 years of public service experience in Clark and Floyd counties as an elected Republican City Councilman and community leader. I have over 35 years job creation experience as former owner of Hanger’s Pharmacy and Homecare. I have the experience and knowledge it will take to bring jobs to Southern Indiana while keeping spending low.

Create Jobs. Improve Education. Lower Taxes.

All of the above phrases start with an “action” word — create, improve, lower. Action is what I will bring to the Senate Seat number 46. There is no greater time than now. Every day I talk to citizens and every day I hear about the need for more jobs — jobs that are meaningful and create pride and rewards. Real jobs built on ingenuity and not some temporary government stimulus.

When new jobs are created and students achieve at a high level, there is less burden on local government, and taxes can be lowered. They all go together. Prosperity leads to more assessed value for a greater tax base. Lowered taxes spur economic development. Families and businesses demand economy in government. Community pride can become more than a dream. Community wealth will mean more than just dollars.

Having spent almost 40 years as a pharmacist and pharmacy owner in this district, I have gained much insight about our community. I have raised a family here. I have grown up and matured here. I have invested a tremendous amount of energy to make us a better society. I have worked with and served everyone who asked. I humbly ask for your vote and support to continue.
